Tunisia: The Arab Spring's Last Hope
A new documentary film by Indispensable and DEC Artists
In December, 2010, Mohamed Bouazizi set himself on fire in Tunisia to protest police corruption and sparked a flame that ignited the Middle East.
In the next year, protests would spread in 13 countries and four dictators would fall.
Seven years later, the flame of freedom in the Middle East seems extinguished, as a dictator has reemerged in Egypt, and civil war engulfs Libya and Syria.
Except for Bouazizi's Tunisia, the Arab Spring's Last Hope.
We explore what life is like in Tunisia now and where the country go from here.
Can democracy hold? Or will Tunisia face a fate similar to Egypt or Syria?
